WHERE TO STAY

Below is a list of most of the sleeping options in and around the wedding zone. I have included a link to the place (where available), the estimated price in dollars, and some basic information about the sort of place it is. Everything is within 10 miles of the party, and most are closer than that. Unless otherwise noted, assume that breakfast is included. All of these can be seen (even those without websites) here (scroll down to Gastgeberverzechnis and click).

Take a look. Think about what sort of thing you would like. Let me know. I’ll make reservations. If you have any questions, of course, let me know that too.

No pressure intended, but I should point out that none of these places are huge. The early bird catches the worm!

Romantikhotel Knippschild: from $100 (up to $160 or so) per night
This hotel is owned by the same people who own the party venue. It features a respected restaurant and a “wellness” program (sauna and such). We have reserved 10 rooms just in case.

Hotel Spitze Warte: from $55 per night
Excellent restaurant, natural setting.

Historische Ratsschänke: NO VACANCY! SORRY.
Respected restaurant, located in beautiful downtown Rüthen (just across the street from the site of the wedding).

Marktschänke Wendel: from $55 per night
Also in downtown Rüthen, but only for maximum two people, with restaurant.

Pension Christel: from $40 per night
Small (1-3 people) private apartment for rent. No breakfast.

Pension Sauer: from $40 per night (possibly strange people)
Small (1-2 people) private apartment for rent. No breakfast. Right next to the forest.

Ferienhäuser Dohle: from $30 per night (plus utilities)
Three cabins on the edge of the forest, each holding 1-5 people, each with kitchens, perfect for groups.

Ferienwohnung Haus Dörte: NO VACANCY! SORRY.
Large apartment for two people, with kitchen.

Ferienwohnung Sauerland: from $50 per night
Includes whirlpool, up to 6 people, kitchen.

Ferienwohnung Nolte: from $50 per night
Apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen.

Schneringhuser Hof: A VERY GOOD OPTION!!! NOW AVAILABLE!!!
Old farm house with kitchen and guest bed, horseback riding optional.

The following are all on the same street (Heide).

Gasthof Westermeier: from $50 per night
Very quiet area (even by local standards), assorted entertainment options, Biergarten.

Pension Hölscher: from $30 per night per person
Includes restaurant.

Ferienwohnung Eikhoff: from $50 per night
Small (1-5 people), no breakfast.

If nothing here floats your boat, there are others in the area. Think about how long you want to say, how much you want to spend, and what sort of things you might like to do.

If you would like to travel around a bit and go to other cities (including the city in which we actually live, Wuppertal), let me know and I can advise you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

You can use the comments function as a way to reach me and to form groups, by the way.
